Richard LoRicco, Sr.

The founding partner of the firm, Mr. LoRicco has been practicing law in the State of Connecticut since 1956, when he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law. He graduated from Providence College in 1953. He was born and raised in the city of New Haven.

Mr. LoRicco regularly practices in the state and Federal courts in the fields of civil litigation, business litigation, and professional malpractice litigation. He has an extensive practice in the area of both residential and commercial real estate development and management. Mr. LoRicco was instrumental in the development of the ground lease concept for condominium development, as well as “air right” development rights in the State of Connecticut.

He is also admitted to practice in United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

He is a member of the American, Connecticut, and New Haven Bar Associations, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.

 

Richard LoRicco, Jr.

Mr. LoRicco graduated from Fordham University in 1983 and received a Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law, formerly known as the University of Bridgeport School of Law, in 1986, when he became affiliated with the firm.

Mr. LoRicco's practice is concentrated to the areas of civil litigation, business litigation, transactional law, real estate and landlord tenant practice and litigation. He has experience as an arbitrator.

He regularly practices in state and federal courts.

He is a member of the American, Connecticut, and New Haven Bar Associations, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. LoRicco presently serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Francis Home for Children and holds the position of Chairman of the Board. He is a Member of the Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Association, is a certified Fire Firefighter II, EMT-B and serves as the Association's Legal Counsel.

 

Frederick J. Trotta, Sr.

Mr. Trotta attended Western New England College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He further received a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac College School of Law, formerly known as the University of Bridgeport School of Law, in 1986.

His practice is focused in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury. He is a member in good standing of the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, and an associate of the National College of Advocacy. He has been awarded the Distinguished Service award from the Western New England College. He is a member of Who's Who in Practicing Attorneys.

On a personal note, he is an active resident of the town of Guilford, serving on several community based committees including the Guilford Police Commission and the Guilford Fire Commission. Mr. Trotta is a member of the Connecticut Police Commissioners Association. He participates in and supports the work of various non-profit organizations, benefiting the health, safety and well being of the youth and citizens of our communities.

 

Ronald LoRicco, Sr.

Mr. LoRicco attended Fairfield University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986. Thereafter, he received a Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law, formerly known as the University of Bridgeport School of Law, in 1989, when he became affiliated with the firm.

Mr. LoRicco practices in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, criminal law, estate planning and administration and workers' compensation. He is also admitted to practice in United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

He is a member of the American, Connecticut, and New Haven Bar Associations, American Trial Lawyers Association and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.

 

 

Scott A. Leventhal

Mr. Leventhal earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Southern New Hampshire and thereafter, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven. Mr. Leventhal then received his Law Degree from Quinnipiac University and was recognized with admission into the Honor Fraternity of Phi Delta Phi.

 Prior to joining LoRicco, Trotta and LoRicco, Mr. Leventhal worked for the City of New Haven Office of Corporation Counsel, the Appellate Division of the Chief Public Defender’s Office for the State of Connecticut and in the field of Medical Management. Mr. Leventhal has business experience in both the medical and property management fields and he has argued before the Appellate Court for the State of Connecticut. In the community, Mr. Leventhal has served on the Board of Directors for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation of South Central Connecticut is affiliated with National, State and Local Bar Associations and has coached Little League Baseball and Youth Soccer in his hometown of Cheshire.

 

 

 

Larry H. Lewis

Mr. Lewis graduated from University of Nebraska in 1971. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Bridgeport Law School in 1980. Mr. Lewis has extensive experience in civil insurance defense matters having been the name partner in the law office of Larry Lewis responsible for the Connecticut house counsel program for Nationwide insurance and was responsible for the oversight of all in-house Connecticut Claims for Nationwide Insurance.

Prior to joining LoRicco, Trotta and LoRicco, he was a partner with the law firm of Weigand, Mahon, and Adelman. Mr. Lewis practices in the areas of personal injury law, and general practice litigation. Mr. Lewis is a court appointed Mediator and Arbitrator and is a member of the Meriden- Wallingford and Connecticut Bar Associations.
 

 

 
 
Michael E. Healey

Mr. Healey attended Quinnipiac University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000.  He further received a Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2003.

Mr. Healey practices in the area of general litigation with an emphasis on personal injury and domestic/family law.  He is licensed to practice in the States of Connecticut and New York.

He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the New Haven County Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association.

 

Janine W. Hodgson

Janine Hodgson received her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac College School of Law in 1986 where she was a member of Law Review, Moot Court Board and received the honor of Best Speaker.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Rhode Island in 1983.

Prior to joining LTL, Ms. Hodgson was a partner at Del Sole & Del Sole.   She specializes in medical malpractice and personal injury defense, as well as representing physicians in administrative matters before the Department of Public Health.

On a personal note, Ms. Hodgson is an active resident of the town of Guilford, having served as a board member and coach of Guilford Youth Lacrosse and the Soccer Club of Guilford, as well as PTO President of Baldwin Middle School. 

 

 

Nicole J. Tung

Ms. Tung graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1991. She further received a Juris Doctor Degree from University of Connecticut School of Law 1994. Prior to joining LoRicco Trotta & LoRicco, Ms. Tung area of practice focused on Insurance defense litigation. She was a senior trial attorney with Allstate Insurance Company and Safeco Insurance Company where she tried numerous cases to verdict.

Ms. Tung is admitted to practice in United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is also admitted to practice in New York. She is a member of American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association and Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She serves as a Court appointed arbitrator for Middletown Superior Court, Milford Superior Court and Bridgeport Superior Court. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Ms. Tung was a Visiting Scholar at East China University of Politics and Law in Shanghai China from 2007-2008 where she taught American Law to PHD candidates and Master Degree students of the University.
